During the next week or two iron workers will be installing stairs (extension ladders and cranes are currently used to access the second level). The gym floor is scheduled to be poured in the next week, but is contingent on roof completion. Area B has exterior brick work on going with interior masonry on the second level. Exterior window installation will begin this week. Insulation and wood blocking is beginning on the first level in areas B and C.

Construction Update March 11th 2013

Work continues in the office area framing walls and installing electrical conduit. Entry ways to the first floor classrooms are being framed. Block and brick work continues on the south side of the building where the scaffolding is now located. The first look at the exterior and interior of the gym is available in the pictures below and on the you tube video. The space is being heated to prep the ground for concrete. The cafeteria walls will begin to be constructed in the next few weeks.

Construction Update February 25th 2013

Brickwork is now complete on the three sides of the academic wing. The scaffolding has been relocated so the brick work is visible. This also means that the sidewalk on Linwood is open again to the public. Miron crews and our own Mr. Schneider have been working to remove the snow and ice to clean up the sidewalk for safe travel. When the ice is cleared, the buses will go back to dropping off and picking up at the regular location. This will create more space for parents to pick up in front of the school. Check back next week for updates on the gym.

Concrete is lifted up to the second floor by a crane and bucket. Check out the OWLS News Update for 2/25/2013 on youtube to see the video of the concrete being delivered to workers.
