Construction Update Nov 26th 2012

Despite cold weather Miron continues on schedule. New materials on the property include a propane tank to supply heat to areas under construction and a crane is ready to place steel beams. Plans for lot 13 demolition are being finalized. The areas of the worksite are divided into sections A, B, and C. Section A is the gym, B is the office and cafeteria, and C is the academic wing. We will refer to these letter areas with specific updates in future reports.

Construction Update Nov 12th 2012

The snow is falling on the work site for the first time, but the work continues. Eighty percent of the internal footings are complete. Check out the video update at http://www.youtube.com/user/oaklawnoasd to see the work in progress. Lot 13 is set to close this week. Preparations for lot 13 will begin as soon as the closing is finalized.

Construction Update Nov 5th 2012

The walls are going up fast around the Oaklawn site. Ninety percent of the exterior footings are finished and the interior footings are being poured this week. Steel columns are being prepped for installation. Underground plumbing and electrical rough in continues. An offer has been made for lot 13 (green home on north west corner). Construction Update October 29th 2012

Construction of the below grade and above grade masonry walls continues this week. Scaffolding is now set up around three sides of the structured footings as the block walls are constructed. Underground plumbing and masonry wall electrical rough in will be ongoing the next two weeks.

Ground Breaking Ceremony 10/19/2012

The Oaklawn ground breaking Ceremony was held on Friday October 19th. Representatives from the school district, Miron (construction), Bray (architects) and the Oshkosh community were on site to acknowledge the special occasion. Construction Update October 15th 2012

Each week we plan to provide update for the construction of Oaklawn. District representatives will meet weekly with the contractors (Miron) and architects (Bray) to discuss the status, timeline and safety of the project. Please remember that for your safety the work site is closed to the public. Please observe the work and progress from behind the fences.

The building footprint is visible as crews are digging and pouring the footings. Rain water had to be pumped out Sunday night to prepare for continued work on Monday.

Available staff had the opportunity to choose the grout color with the two bricks. The choice selected is Dark Barn Owl. Stay tuned for updates of the ground breaking planned for this Friday at 8 a.m.
